Suncity Racing Team locked front row in FOOD4U Macau Touring Car Cup Qualify

Suncity Racing Team driver Paul Poon will start this year’s FOOD4U Macau Touring Car Cup from pole position, teammate Alexander Fung will start alongside him on front row. Today’s Qualify was interrupted twice due to Red flag. Drivers from Suncity Racing Team strike back at the end of Qualify.

Paul’s first laptime was not good enough. Qualify session was interrupted as he tried to run another lap. Paul turn back to pit and told engineers to make small changes immediately. After red flag, seven time winner of Macau striked back, with effort of 2:32.319 was not beaten in the end of the session. “I tried my best to do the best laptime. Well, and I did it !” Now, Paul is very looking forward to crown his eighth title.

Alexander Fung sets personal best
Yesterday’s FP sessions, Alexander was quickiest on the top of timesheet of 1600cc class and he found that his Peugeot RCZ could perform better. With assistance of mechanics, today he runs 2:33.154 which is personal best laptime at Guia Circuit. “We expected that we can at the top of our class, but we didn’t expect 1-2 overall. Today I could only ran two clean laps, but this is my best laptime.” He believes his priority job is to keep his position to against those 1950cc class four wheel drive cars at the start of the race tomorrow. “First I need to maintain my position, once everything settles, I’ll try to chase Paul for the win.”
