The REVO Technik-backed Teamwork Motorsport squad is recharged and ready for the three remaining rounds of the 2016 TCR Asia Series, starting with the forthcoming weekend at the Shanghai International Circuit in China (20-21 August).
Kevin Tse is currently tied for second on 52 points in the TCR Asia standings with fellow Macanese driver Henry Ho and he said: “I’ve been spending some good summer time with my family, so I am now totally refreshed and ready for the forthcoming challenge.
“I know Shanghai is going to be hot, so I also utilised the summer break for endurance training. The Shanghai International Circuit isn’t new to me and I believe we can get right back down to business after getting an initial feeling for how the VW Golf TCR behaves on the track.”
Bill O’Brien, meanwhile, has been wearing his Team Principal hat over the summer break, leading his BlackArts Racing team in Formula Renault Asia and the 25 Hours of Spa, but the Hong Kong resident is ready to return to the driving seat in his REVO-liveried Volkwagen Golf TCR.
Teamwork Motorsport Team Manager, Ken Lui, said: “We’ve gained a lot of valuable information on the Shanghai International Circuit over the last few years in the China Touring Car Championship, therefore we are confident that we can come up with the ultimate setup for our Volkswagen Golf TCRs once our drivers complete their first outings on the track.”
Teamwork Motorsport’s TCR Asia partner, REVO Technik, will host an interactive event where VIP guests will view the races and have access to the team and its drivers throughout the weekend at the Shanghai Formula 1 circuit.
