Pole sitter Paul Poon headed a Suncity Racing Team 1-2 in the FOOD4U Macau Touring Car Cup race with team-mate Alexander Fung in second. Paul crown eighth title of the most prestigious race on the touring car arena.
Peugeot driver Paul claimed the lead at the start and never looked back, instead it was his team-mate Alexander who had to defend from a furious attack from T.A Motorsport driver Filipe De Souza.

Paul was very happy with eighth win at Macau. However, the race is not as smooth as TV broadcast showed for Paul during the whole. Macau Touring Car Cup race was interrupted 3 times by the safety car. Unfortunately, Paul’s Peugeot RCZ was inffected as well during the full course yellow period. “My car has a little misfire at the end of the race somehow. I had to do something as teammate Alexander closing in.” It’s a tough race for Paul, and the win is most sweet thing for him. “I’d like to pay tribute to Suncity Racing Team for giving me such a nice car. I cannot stand at the top of the podium without their efforts.”
Alexander satisfied with 2nd place finish
“I am so satisfied with 2nd place. I feel like a win for me. I’ve raced in Macau for 4 years and I became better and better every year.” We widnessed a furious battle between Alexander and De Souza. With bigger capacity of his car and more horse, “I can feel him since very beginning of the race. He’s great driver and very experienced at Macau. I tried as best as I can to hold him and I did it. This is another big step for me with 2nd place result.” Alexander was so thankful for Suncity Racing Team for this competitive Peugeot RCZ. “These engineers are amazing, they tuned a perfect car for me that I can deliever this great result.”
