Teamwork Motorsport continued the momentum of a great spirit in the TCR China Championship Round 4 at Ordos International Circuit. Paul POON swept AM Class victories in both races, while LI Guanghua stormed into the elite top pack with another P4 overall finish.
Qualifying
Both drivers of Teamwork Motorsport had a good start in Ordos, with Paul POON, in his first Ordos race, finishing third in the AM Class, and LI Guanghua completing the qualifying session fifth overall.
Race 1
Paul POON started from tenth overall and showcased impressive determination as he steadily progressed through the field. His strategic driving and skillful maneuvers allowed him to ultimately secure victory in the AM Class in his debut at Ordos.
LI Guanghua encountered challenges at the start of this race, but displayed resilience and tenacity, actively pushing forward throughout the race and finished tenth overall.
Race 2
Paul POON started from Pole Position in the second race according to the reversed-grid rules. He remained in the top three overall after the start, and responded to the attacks of professional drivers with tight defense, presenting a wonderful battle, and finally took another victory in the AM Class.
LI Guanghua started from fifth overall in this race and steadily moved forward after the start, cooperating with his teammates to build a defensive line, and finally finished fourth overall. The forces also achieved the feat of sweeping the top five overall for the Lynk & Co camp!
The glory in the grassland witnessed Paul POON has now expanded his AM Class lead to 35 points, while Teamwork Motorsport tied for first place in the Clubs’ Cup Championship standings as the team’s trip to Ordos ended with a stunning result. The TCR China Championship will next head to the Shanghai International Circuit from September 19th to 21st. Excitement is building as the team looks to expand on its success and aim for even higher accomplishments!
