Teamwork Motorsport pushing for strong finish to 2016 China Touring Car season

Teamwork Motorsport is pushing for a strong finish to the 2016 SINOPEC LUBRICANTS China Touring Car Championship (CTCC).
Two rounds remain and the first port of call is the new Guizhou International Circuit, which has a short and twisty 2.2km, 14-turn configuration that shares many characteristics with the Guangdong International Circuit, where Teamwork Motorsport converted a front row lockout in qualifying into a race win earlier this year.

A pre-Shanghai adjustment in the CTCC’s Balance of Performance (BoP) placed the Teamwork Motorsport Citroen C-Elysees at a power disadvantage, but the team and drivers Alex Hui and Sunny Wong believe their cars’ lightweight construction will go some way to negating the deficit on small tracks like Guizhou.

Wong said: “Going into the two remaining rounds of the China Touring Car Championship, I think my primary target is to help me and my teammate to score as many points as possible. Alex is currently in a better position in terms of championship points. Also, we are thinking of doing more reliability tests with the Citroens in preparation for the Macau Grand Prix Guia Race 2.0T.

Both of Teamwork Motorsport’s Citroens will enter the 63rd Macau Grand Prix (17-20 November) in the Guia Race 2.0T, which will also feature TCR-spec machines from the TCR International and Asia Series’ and some well-known international drivers.
