GT racing is gaining popularity in Asia and a new GT Championship was born in 2016 . The new China GT is a FIA sanctioned series and is ratified by the Federation of Automobile and Motorcycle Sports of People’s Republic of China (CAMF) as well as authorised by the General Administration of Sports of China.
China GT is based on the principles of being ‘Fair, Just and Open’ and will adopt a FIA standard supported by a Balance of Performance (BOP) system so as to attract worldwide drivers and teams. This new Championship is attracting high interest from the Chinese racing community and manufacturers who consider the Chinese market a market with high growth potential.
Teamwork partnered with 300+, a professional Beijing racing team and entered four cars in the 2016 season; two Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo and two Audi R8 LMS.
Primary role of Teamwork was to provide the needed expertise in organization, technical and operation areas to this joint venture which eventually the team won the GTC Championship and GT3 1st runner up.
