Teamwork Returns to TCR China this weekend at Zhejiang Circuit
After a five weeks break, Teamwork returns to round 3 of the TCR China series with the Grantt supported Golf TCRs at the new Zhejiang Circuit. This new 3.2-kilometer FIA-certified Grade 2 circuit features 16 corners with 22 meters of elevation. With the small & twisty layout, the team is confident that the Golf TCR will adapt to this circuit better than the Shanghai F1 circuit in the previous two rounds.
2 race weekends and 6 races have undergone, Teamwork Motorsport is sitting second in the TCR China Championship, while #62 Alex Fung/Sunny Wong leading in the driver's points. “We’ve shown in the previous outings that we have the pace, the pace to win a championship, even in the circuit like the Shanghai F1 which doesn’t favor our Golf TCR”, Sunny Wong continues, “The remaining venues seems to favor our Golf more, but two of them are new circuits to us, so it’s about how fast our drivers and team can adapt to the new circuits and maximize results every time.”
Besides Teamwork's regular lineup Alex Fung, Sunny Wong, Felipe Souza, Samuel Hsieh, TCR Int'l title contender -Team Leopard driver Jean-Karl Vernay will be at the wheel in car#31 with Alex Hui for both the sprint and relay races. Alex Hui says, "JK's participation with Teamwork is an rare and exciting opportunity. We as a team should benefit from his expertise, especially at a new circuit with very limited practice time shared by two drivers."
TCR China round 3 at Zhejiang Circuit will be held on 6-8 Oct. TCR International will share the same venue, while TCR Asia & China will share the same grid. Living streaming on YouTube will be available.
