Battle to Macau: New Weapon - Audi TT RS
The Mitsubishi Evolution has dominated the Macau GP for many years. Its capability cannot be denied. But are there really no match to the mighty EVOs?
Evolution Race Cars are still the targets to beat
Since 2017, Macau GP has combined the 1.6T and Over1950cc into one race slot. Two categories combining into one grid size means competition to qualify for a seat in Macau GP is becoming much more intense. Teamwork has been paving a path targeting this rule since 2017.

What kind of car should we use?
The Over 1950cc category hasn’t been the main program in Teamwork, therefore choosing a right base car was crucial because that would save significant R&D time. After consulting our technical partner, Gusto Engineering, we all agreed to start the project with the Audi TT RS. Its 2.5L, 350BHP engine, Quattro system, low drag car profile, makes it very ideal to be a base car.
Advantages of professional modification
After choosing the base car, Teamwork and Gusto jointly designed the upgrade direction. Engine, gearbox, drivetrain, electronics, safety equipments have all been replaced or upgraded. The original 2.5L TFSI engine equipped in the TT RS is also a reliable and strong base engine which allows high horse power tuning.
Aerodynamic body parts on the Audi TT RS also play a big role in reducing drag and increasing traction and stability. the car’s capability has been proven in June and July MTCS by claiming pole positions and setting fastest race laps.
There are two months before the 65th Macau GP kick off, and Teamwork’s TT RS is undergoing the final stage of modifications and reliability test. We assure you to bringing a fresh and strong race car onto the Guia Circuit.
